We are Abbotsford movers, and the majority of our jobs either start or end in Abbotsford, Mission, Langley, and Chilliwack, but we are not limited by local geography. We regularly take loads to Vancouver Island and the Okanagan, as well as the Interior of BC. 

Our approach is tailored to your specific objectives. If your primary goal is to keep costs to a minimum and move quickly, we are happy to help. Our 2 hour minimum is shorter than the industry average, saving you money. On the other hand if you are concerned about keeping valuable & cherished items in excellent condition, then we will make that our top priority while still doing our best to work efficiently

Pricing

Here is our truck sizes and pricing. All of our services have a 2 hour minimum. Travel time will also be added to the final bill. 

In some cases a fuel surcharge will be added if there is a lot of driving.  This is the case only if there is more than 300 kms of total drivng.  In all cases any fuel surcharge or travel time will be brought to your attention before the move so there are no surprises with your bill once the move is complete. All the prices listed below are before GST is added.

We believe in complete transparency, which is why our prices are listed here for you to see.

Payment options we can accept are: Cheque, Email Transfer, Cash.  We do not accept credit cards because of the high fees, as well as a significant case of fraud that was done to us.  The benefit to you is that we are able to pass those savings on to you. 

We have 4 trucks, so we have the ability to send multiple trucks to the same job site and speed up the moving process.

Insurance

When choosing any professional moving company you will receive 0.60 cents per pound per unit basic insurance included in the listed price. This is the law. If you find this is unsatisfactory for your needs and require additional insurance, you can look at your home owners insurance or you request additional insurance from Low Budget Moving. We require one week in advance from your move so as we can send out an estimator.

Time & Additional Fees

It does not matter who moves you, if you have for a queen size bed on the second floor, for example, it will take any professional mover approx. 10 minutes to get it into the truck. We may have to disassemble the bed, then to move to into the truck and tie it in.

Due to how busy we are, we almost never do in-person quotes.  For a long-distance move we can, but for Abbotsford moves, or Fraser Valley moves, we can get enough info over the phone to give an accurate range.  We specialize in local moves in the cities of Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack and Langley.

Average Moving Times


  • 1 bedroom approx. 3 to 5 hrs 
  • 2 bedrooms approx. 4 to 7 hrs 
  • 3 bedrooms approx. 7 to 10 hrs
  • 4 bedrooms approx. 8 to 12 hrs

Any larger moves will need a phone conversation to go over specifics and give an estimate.

Time Factors:

Remember, these are just average times. The more organized you are the faster the move will be. On the other hand, the less organized someone is, the longer the move will take. Factors such as the number or stairs or if an elevator is involved will also affect the total time.

Our prices are based on professional services. All of the above include the use of dollies, clean moving blankets and tools to disassemble & reassemble furniture.

Tips for Saving Money


  • Labeling: Label your boxes and items. Include signs on the rooms of the house you are moving to such as Master Bedroom, Office etc. The labeling provides clarity  for our movers about where to bring your items.
  • Designated Person: If you don't have time or don't want to label all your furniture have a designated person who stands by the back of our truck telling us where the items go. This is the biggest way you can save money. The designate people are our favorites!!
  • Remove the feet from your couches. When the movers are required to do this it takes extra time, and therefore costs extra money. Even when it's not required to get the couch out of the door, it's good to have the legs off to lessen the chance of damage in doorways or along walls.

Packing Services


Often, clients want us to pack their boxes for them to prepare for the move. Below are the prices for that service. There is a 3 hour minimum for this service. If you would like us to provide boxes and packing supplies, there is an additional charge for that. To get those specific details for your move, call or email for info.

Packing rates = each packer is paid $35 per hour. This service is available for 1-3 packers. All the people we use to pack are extremely careful and efficient in their work. They will take every precaution to ensure your items are treated as they would treat their own.
